We specialise in orthodox fishing, spinning, casting, baiting for tiger fish and other species on the mighty Zambezi river. Our guides have been highly trained, extremely knowledgeable on the Zambezi river, your personal safety is paramount at all times. A quality experience is a cherished memory that will return constantly , so much so, you would want to come back and do it all over again. There is nothing quite like it, a highlight during a break in the fishing is a picnic lunch on an island up river and we traditionally cook your catch on the fire right there for you. No effort has been spared to insure that your lunch in this magnificent setting is nothing short of superb. While fishing wildlife is encountered from the boat, hippo, crocodile, elephant, antelope, stunning bird life, the fishing is in the Zambezi National Park.

African Lion Walks

The Lion Encounter is an original, authentic and ethical education program designed around the conservation of the African Lion. Support the efforts of those involved and appreciate an amazing interactive experience. They operate in the Masuwe river valley, only 10 minutes from Victoria Falls and offer two trips daily. On the early morning trip you will be served tea, coffee and a full English Breakfast. Snacks and beverages will accompany an afternoon journey. Remember to bring your camera and please be sure to wear sunscreen, mosquito repellant, neutral colours and comfortable walking shoes.

African Elephant Back Rides

An interactive experience of a life time---seated high upon the mighty king of the wild. The elephant experience has been operating for over twenty years and is one of Zimbabwe's oldest elephant back safaris. Guests are invited to join Chikwenya, Mana, Sapi and Sharu on a unique African experience. Safaris are taken twice daily-in the early morning and in the late afternoon. This allows the elephants time off during the day to feed naturally through the bush,visit various water holes and just be elephants for a while. A strong emphasis is placed on an elephant experience rather than just an elephant ride. Guests are encouraged to interact with the elephants as much as possible, and hopefully obtain better insight into their history and day to day life. This trip includes transfers, bush breakfast, drinks and snacks.

Mighty Zambezi Canoeing Trips

At Ultimate Lodge, one of the ways that we like to encourage our Guests to more fully explore the Mighty Zambezi is through our full day Canoe Safari. Your adventure starts at 7 in the morning where you will enjoy a 25 kilometre (15 mile) game drive through the Zambezi National Park. When we reach the banks of the Zambezi river upstream a tasty Continental Breakfast will be served. At Ultimate Lodge we consider our Guest’s safety a primary concern and you will be thoroughly instructed on canoe safety procedures on this part of the river by a professional guide. The Canoe Safari is a full day event spent canoeing 18 kilometres (11 miles) downstream in 2-man inflatable canoes. You will paddle through Grade 1 & 2 rapids, explore river channels overhung with lush vegetation and discover an unique bird and game viewing opportunity.
